REGISTRATION
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate all of the representatives attending for one booth on the registration form. Each booth is
$275 and includes a co-sponsorship of the event.
VIRTUAL EFFECT
By registering to participate in the 2013 Fall Broadcast Media Career & Networking Fairs, you will also receive one Virtual Career Fair booth on the Michigan broadcast careers website at www.michiganbroadcastcareers.com at no additional cost. This site will allow only Career Fair participants to post job openings and curriculum information along with a logo and link to your website. All postings must include contact information. If your station does not have current openings but would still like to receive resumes/demos for future openings, please indicate that on the registration form.
Please email
MABF all postings with contact information that you would like included in your virtual career fair booth and along with a logo and web address.
PROMOTION
As a co-sponsor, you will be helping to offset the cost of the fairs as well as helping to promote the event to your students, listeners and viewers by promoting this event prior to and the day of the event. You can do this by airing your own PSAs, if you have a station, or by adding your involvement into any press promotion. Your assistance in promotion is vital to the success of the career and networking fair. For stations, keep track of everything you air for your EEO records and send the MABF a copy of your affidavits.
COST
Registration fee is
$275 per booth and includes Co-Sponsorship of this event along with the following amenities:
• One MABF Virtual Career Fair booth – located at
www.michiganbroadcastcareers.com.
• One 6 ft. banquet table with two chairs.
• One table-top sign with your call letters/company name displayed.
• Promotion on the MAB website, the MAB e-newsletter.
• Assistance with promotion to the schools through the MAB Foundation.
• Box lunch/dinner for up to two station representatives.
• A portion of the registration fee goes to support the MAB Foundation and its mission and may be tax deductible.
ATTENTION UPPER PENINSULA STATIONS!
The MABF once again encourages stations in the UP to participate in the NMU Fall Job Fair and Career Expo in October. This career day is separate from the other MABF Broadcasting Career Fairs and may include different fees and registration requirements. Please contact Kimberly Poupore at 906-227-2800 for complete information or visit online at
www.nmu.edu/jobfairs.
ATTENTION STATIONS: EEO OUTREACH
This program may provide you with the basis to claim a "menu option" outreach initiatives credit under the FCC's EEO regulations. Specifically, one station representative in attendance must have hiring responsibilities at all of the stations represented. You should consult with your communications counsel or call MAB’s Washington Attorney David Oxenford to be sure. Please submit to the MAB Foundation copies of the station’s affidavits concerning airing Career Fair promotion. This information will be needed as we prepare the official EEO letter for each station participant.
The MABF will present all participants with an official letter that you may wish to place in your EEO records along with other relevant materials such as PSAs, affidavits, promotional letters, etc.
