WQLK-FM Rocks for the Hungry
WQLK-FM (Ann Arbor) hosted its annual Rockin’ for the Hungry event in December. The nineteen year old event benefits local food bank Food Gatherers, which distributes more than 3.6 million pounds of food to over 150 non-profit programs a year. FWDarrow more

The MAB has completed the final stages of our Amber Alert technology updates. Michigan stations updated Amber Alert contact information and Michigan State Police is currently being trained on the deployment of EAS Alerts.

This new technology will offer Amber Alert notifications to stations that may be unmanned when a child goes missing. Email and EAS Encoder Activation are new methods of Amber Alert distribution helping stations serve their communities even better.

This link will take you to a poster that can be placed in your break room, studio or master control. The poster outlines how Amber Alerts can be received and has an open space for you to write-in specifically how your station(s) handle incoming Amber Alerts.

Moments matter when a child is missing! Keep your staff informed about your station’s procedures.
