Karole L. White
When Karole L. White arrived at the MAB more than 25 years ago, the organization had a part time executive director, a few boxes of files, about $150,000 dollars in the bank and membership was only at about 50 percent of its potential. With the help of very positive board members, Ms. White grew the MAB to become one of the most respected trade associations in the state and among the best state broadcaster associations in the nation. MAB now has a membership penetration of 89 percent.
Prior to joining the MAB, Ms. White was the Executive Vice President Director for the Michigan Floral Association, the Executive Director of the MFA Health Insurance Trust, the managing director of MFA Federal Credit Union and President, Executive Director MAB Floral Service Inc. She has been in Association Management in the Greater Lansing area for over 30 years. She has served in executive positions with the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, United States Cheerleaders Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association and was a partner in BKM Advertising and Display Company.
Ms. White received her broadcasting back ground through advertising as Marketing Director for Forbes Cohen Properties in Lansing and as Telethon Manager for MDA. She has been honored with numerous awards, including most recently induction into the Michigan Society of Association Executives Hall of Fame and the Citizen’s Medal of Honor from the National Guard. A life time learner, Ms. White attended Lansing Business University, Lansing Community College and Michigan State University.
Tom HahnVice President of Finance
Tom Hahn is the Vice President of Finance for the MAB and its multiple entities. He has been with the MAB since 2003 and handles accounting and finance for the organization. Before joining the MAB, he was in the banking industry, primarily in commercial lending. Hahn holds a BBA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Michigan State University. His interests include reading and golf.
Jacquelen TimmExecutive Director of Programs
Jacquelen TimmJacquelen Timm is the Executive Director of Programs for the MAB and MABF. She joined the MAB in June 2017. Before joining the MAB, Jacquelen was the Executive Director of the Muscular Dysytrophy Association. She also has a background in advertising and marketing. Jacquelen graduated from Saginaw Valley State University, and currently resides in Bath. Her interests includes football, fitness, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Dan KelleyDirector of Technical Services/Digital Communications Manager/Engineering
Dan Kelley is the Director of Technical Services/Digital Communications Director/Engineering for the MAB. He serves as the main contact at the MAB regarding EAS and Emergency Warnings. He joined the association in 2007, following a 30+ year career in radio that started during high school in suburban Chicago. He has been a station Program Director, Operations Director, Station Manager, Chief Engineer and on-air talent. His background includes stops at CBS Radio, Clear Channel and Citadel Communications. In addition to his work at the MAB, Dan also operates a nationally-recognized online radio station. He attended Columbia College and William Rainey Harper College in Chicago. Dan has two sons and resides in Lansing.

Sarah Decker is a recent graduate of Michigan State University where she studied Communications and Public Relations. Her interests include traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Rachel KrauseProgram Coordinator
Rachel KrauseRachel Krause has worked at the MAB in different capacities since 2016, currently serving as a Program Coordinator. Rachel studied Business and Apparel Merchandising at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and has a background in fashion marketing and advertising. She currently resides in Holt, Michigan and enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.

Mathew TreadwellMarketing & Communications Manager
Mathew Treadwell joined the MAB team as Marketing & Communications Manager in June 2016 and helps to coordinate the marketing and communication efforts of the MAB, MABF, MABPAC and MAPB staffs and best share news of programs, opportunities and successes among organizational members. Before joining the MAB, Mathew served as Communications Director at The Peoples Church of East Lansing. His professional background also includes time as Development Director at the St. Thomas More Newman Center in Columbus, Ohio; Communication Director at the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw, Mich., where he was the founding editor of FAITH Saginaw magazine; and as a government reporter at the Huron Daily Tribune in Bad Axe, Mich. Mathew earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University, where he spent many semesters as a reporter and editor at The State News, including a stint as host of “The State News Live” on WDBM-FM during the early 2000s.
Ann WaltersOffice Manager/MAPB Coordinator
Ann began at the MAB in 1999 as the Executive Assistant to President Karole White. As well as her executive assistant duties she now also manages the MAB office and oversees all its properties, assists with membership and serves as the coordinator for the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters Board of Directors. She also manages the MAB alternative broadcast inspection program. Ann received her Associates Degree from Yuba College in California in business management. Her interests include gardening, attending Detroit Tigers baseball games and baking with her two adorable granddaughters.
