Entercom’s WOMC Raises $326K for Children’s Miracle Network

On November 19, WOMC-FM (Detroit) hosted its third annual Radiothon to benefit Beaumont Children’s Hospital/Children’s Miracle Network.  This year the effort raised nearly $326000!  Anchoring the 12-hour broadcast were station personalities JoAnne Purtan, Jim Johnson, Beau Daniels and Aricka McCauly.

Stories of local patients and families treated at Beaumont Children’s were featured throughout the day. These stories included children like Lexi who manages her Type 1 diabetes diagnosis every day, Desmond who learned to walk again after a tumor was removed from his spinal cord and Braylen who found his voice after intensive speech therapy.

Thanks to the generosity of countless individuals and corporate partners, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals support the medical and developmental needs of more than 200,000 infants, children and teens each year through Beaumont Children’s. Donations help to purchase lifesaving medical equipment, fund research, support community education and ensure no child is ever turned away regardless of the ability to pay.
