DID YOU KNOW?

The MAB serves the people of Michigan as well as current and future broadcasters.

The MAB coordinated with WLNS-TV (Lansing) and provided open captioning to deliver over 46 hours of Governor Whitmer’s more than 65 COVID-19 related press conferences to all broadcast stations and the people of Michigan in 2020 and 2021.

The MAB distributed over 8,000 washable face masks provided by FEMA for use by broadcasters across the State of Michigan.

In addition to the millions of dollars broadcasters invest in their communities, they also join together with the MAB in helping bring to light some of the State’s most pressing health, human services and public information issues. Over $7 million of in-kind grant matches are delivered annually to the state and non-profit organizations utilizing Michigan’s local broadcasters. Our member stations reach every county and every household in the state.

Thank you for reviewing the MAB’s Economic Impact & Community Service Report.
Michigan’s broadcasters are committed to the communities they serve.
They provide important news and information to the people of Michigan, helping them through difficult times and often putting themselves in danger.
If you have any questions please reach out to us at the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
