WILX-TV Announces New Morning Team

Seth Wells and Maureen Halliday

Gray Television’s WILX-TV (Lansing) has announced a new morning anchor team, effective this past Monday (12/6).  Maureen Halliday and Seth Wells will co-anchor the station’s morning newscast (4:30 to 7:00 a.m.) as well as the station’s 11 a.m. newscast.

Maureen Halliday has anchored the station’s weekend newscasts for the past two years, and as a weekday reporter.  Seth Wells rejoins the station after working as a sports anchor/reporter for WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids.  He previously worked for WILX as a sports anchor/reporter from 2018 until 2020.

Longtime WILX anchor David Andrews will return to evenings, co-anchoring the station’s evening and late night newscasts along with Ann Emmerich. “It’s been a wonderful two months of filling in on News 10 Today alongside Darrin Rockcole, but now it’s time to turn over the keys to the anchor desk to Seth and Maureen. Their shining personalities and professionalism will be a winning combination for the morning news audience!” Says Andrews.
