WTLZ Holds Annual ‘Family Affair’ School Supply Giveway

On September 5, Alpha Media’s WTLZ-FM (Saginaw) held its second annual “Family Affair” school supply giveaway at the Dow Events Center. This year, it was a drive-thru event to pass out school supplies.

In an interview with WNEM-TV, afternoon personality Yvonne Daniels said, “We know that it takes a village to take care of children and make sure students have everything they need as they go back to school. So we are that village.”

The station passed out more than 400 backpacks filled with school supplies, hand sanitizer, masks, socks and more. The station says they are looking forward to an even bigger and better event in 2021.
